Private Events at Apple Hill Farm

AVAILABILITY: Memorial Day to mid-October 

LOCATION: Apple Hill Farm | Banner Elk, NC

PRICE: $150 an hour, 2 hour minimum

We have two great options for your next meeting, party, or gathering of friends!  

 

Due to the nature of our farm, we do not offer weddings.

 

Outdoor Classroom: Up to 40 People

Our outdoor classroom is a hit all summer long! This is where we host all our events; Barn Quilt Painting, Baby Goat Yoga, and more. This space is located in the heart of our barnyard, with easy access to the barn, store, and parking. 

We provide: 

  • Securely fenced, X x X space. The outdoor classroom does have a gate that can be closed to keep your party goers from wandering. 
  • A 35 foot by 20 foot tent top
  • Five 6-foot tables
  • Up to 12 chairs and 4 benches (you will need to provide any additional seating)
  • One large trash can and trash bags (you must haul off trash)
  • Up to 2 guided tours, 15 people per tour
    • Meet the alpacas, llamas, donkeys, goats and other critters! Goat food included.
  • A memorable experience with your friends on our working alpaca farm! 
  • 30 minutes of set-up time and 15 minutes of clean up time
  • Designated Party Parking
  • Access to two bathrooms with indoor plumbing
  • A safe, indoor alternative location in the event of severe weather

You Provide:

  • all decor items
  • Table linens, serving utensils etc.
  • Any and all food and beverages
  • Cleaning up the party area, including disposing of and hauling off all trash, leftover food, and leftover supplies.
  • Setting up tables and chairs
  • Coolers/Ice for anything that needs to stay cool

Optional Add-Ons:

  • A 10 x 10 tent ($50 for just the tent, $75 if you want the sides on it)
  • Extra tables ($15 each; up to 5 additional tables)
  • Extension Cord for power ($10)
  • Additional Tour Groups ($75 each)

Availability: 

Dates and times vary. We do offer several events on the farm throughout the summer season. We will do our best to accommodate your requested dates. We generally offer party times at 10:30 am or 2:30 pm. We are unable to offer Friday events from mid-June to the first Friday of August. 

We can occasionally accommodate later afternoon/early evening events. Please let us know if you are interested in a later time-slot. 

Please note:

  • The farm will remain open during your party time. There will be other visitors on the property, so please be considerate with volume levels.
  • We are firm with our party start and end times. We will keep a card securely on file through our booking system. You will be charged $15 per 15 minute block over the allotted party time if your party does not end on time. 

 

Indoor Classroom: Up to 20 People

Our Indoor Classroom space is perfect for meetings and conferences. This space is located in our alpaca barn and is fully enclosed. It is heated, but not air conditioned We do provide fans if needed, and it is well ventilated! We do not have WIFI in this barn, but there is good cell signal!

 

Our indoor meeting space features:

  • Wet bar with hot water
  • plenty of counterspace for snacks and food set up
  • Mini Fridge
  • 12 cup coffee maker
  • Electric Kettle
  • Easels and small dry erase boards
  • 70 inch flat screen TV
  • Composting toilet at the alpaca barn. We do have indoor plumbing at our main barn, a 10 minute walk uphill.
  • A private experience! This meeting space is not located within the area of the farm that is accessible by the public. 
  • A tour guide on hand throughout your event should you need anything.
