Join knitter Anne Batherson for this fun and simple Gathered Scarf class! Using one skein, you will be able to make a short scarf, or you can sew the ends together for a great cowl! You can also buy a second skein of yarn to make a full-length scarf. For this class, we will be using one skein of yarn to make the cowl.

An easy knit, using basic stitches and simply changing needle sizes to achieve a fun and unique gathered look.

Students should know:

how to cast on stitches
Knit stitch
Purl stitch
In the class, we will go over how to Knit 2 Together (K2Tog) and Knit Front & Back (KFB). The pattern is made of two repeating sections that are easy to memorize!

You will need to bring Size 4 US and Size 7 US needles with you. If you are a tight knitter, we suggest also bringing size 5 and 8. The goal is for a loose, drapey scarf/cowl. Needles should be at least 6 inches in length.

This class will meet at Apple Hill Farm on Sunday, March 31 at 1 pm. The class will be 3 hours in length. If you feel you may need additional help starting your project, please arrange to arrive early.
