on Apple Hill Farm…
Farm Tours - May 19th to October 13th
Apple Hill Farm conducts a farm tour every
Saturday at 2pm from mid May to mid October. The
1 1/2 hour guided walking tour starts at the
horse barn, winding around the farm to visit the
main barns and animal sheds. Tour guides will
give information about the specific species and
personalities of animals living on Apple Hill
Farm and explain our fencing, feeding and
grazing practices. Our farm is hilly and we will
be walking the hills. Wear comfortable shoes and
plan accordingly. Don’t forget to bring a
camera!
Adults $10, Children under 10 $5, Children under
3 free.Every Saturday

Alpaca Shearing Day – June 2nd, 2012 10am to 4pm
Come watch as our alpacas and llamas go from full fiber to “naked”. North Carolina alpaca shearer Joe Moore will be on hand shearing, teaching and explaining the whole process. This was one of the favorite events of the year last year and this year promises to be even better with demonstrations of fiber skirting (cleaning), washing and processing. Event is free and open to the public. 10am – 2pm (or until all the alpacas are naked!)
National Alpaca Farm Day

Over 1,000 farms will participate across the country to celebrate National Alpaca Farm Days. Come take a tour of Apple Hill Farm and see this year’s new animals and products.
Event is open to the public and free of charge.
Saturday September 28th and 29th

Christmas on Apple Hill Farm
Join us this Christmas season as we celebrate Christmas on Apple Hill Farm. Come take a small tour of the farm, purchase a custom designed wreath or 3ft tall fraser fir table top tree, and shop for unique gifts at the Apple Hill Farm Store. Call ahead to order a special sized wreath with custom decorations or pick from our selection of beautifully decorated fresh fraser fir wreaths and greenery. Enjoy the Christmas spirit and a cup of homemade hot chocolate or hot apple cider. The farm will be decorated and the animal’s Christmas stockings will be hung early for all to see! Saturday pony rides (weather permitting).

Valle Country Fair is a fun fair featuring fresh
pressed apple cider, arts, crafts, live music
and magic shows. Apple Hill Farms will have alpacas on display along with
alpaca socks, scarves, gloves and mittens for
sale.
